The collaborative filtering engine that powers those super-creepy ads in my online banking statement is just…uncannily perceptive. It’s like you’re reading my mind!

I also recently noticed this. It’s stunning. Ads for Redbox and other companies are scattered through my bank statement. Every time I check my account, it feels creepy. And every time, those ad impressions earn Bank of America ~.005¢. They’ve sold my sense of privacy and simple financial security for a tiny fraction of a penny, and remind me of it every time I look at the site.

Why the fuck are you guys using Bank of America?
